Rotate PDF Online

Fix sideways or upside-down PDF pages by choosing a rotation direction — 90° clockwise, counter-clockwise, 180°, or reset to original. You can also remove individual pages before rotating. Everything runs in your browser and the file is not sent to a server.

Rotation Options and How They Work

Rotation is a non-destructive change — the tool updates the page orientation property in the PDF file without re-rendering any content, so text, images, and layout are preserved exactly.

Four Rotation Directions

Rotate 90° clockwise (the most common fix for sideways pages), 90° counter-clockwise (rotate left), 180° to flip upside-down pages, or reset all pages back to their original orientation.

Remove Pages Before Rotating

After uploading, a thumbnail preview of every page appears. Click ✕ on any thumbnail to exclude that page from the output — useful when only part of the document needs adjusting.

No Quality Loss

Rotation updates the orientation metadata without re-rendering pages. The document's text, images, and formatting remain exactly as they were in the original.

Processed in Your Browser

The PDF is rotated using JavaScript running locally on your device. Your file is not uploaded to any server at any point during the process.

When You Need to Rotate a PDF

Some common situations where fixing page orientation is necessary:

Scanned Documents

A document scanned with the wrong orientation — appearing sideways or upside down in a PDF viewer.

Mixed Orientation Files

A PDF where some pages are portrait and others landscape, needing consistent orientation throughout.

Landscape Charts or Tables

Wide spreadsheets or diagrams saved as landscape pages that display sideways when viewed normally.

Before Sharing or Printing

Correcting page orientation before emailing a document or sending it to a printer.

Rotate PDFs on Your Phone or Computer

The tool works in desktop and mobile browsers. On a phone you can open a PDF from your storage or a cloud app, pick a rotation direction, and download the corrected file without installing anything. See the How to Rotate a PDF guide for a detailed walkthrough.
